Dear Friend,
I sent you a love letter
I know it didn't come in the expected package
It wasn't wrapped up in a bow
It didn't sit under a tree
I decided that the best love letter
I could send would be one that looked like you
Well, not exactly like you
The love letter did have a human shape
The love letter cried and cooed
Grew to be a man
Like you got tired and hungry
and angry and worried
He was my love letter to you
He showed you a new way to life
He gave the gift of himself
He died on a cross
He rose again
He lives in your heart
A love letter from me to you
But you have to open it everyday

I descend into your strength.
Experiencing your abundance
Of energy, peace and comfort.
O, the peace that arises
In my soul.
Deeper and deeper
I fall into your mercy
Finding peace beyond words
Finding joy beyond description.

Dear God,
My heart is afraid. I am afraid that I will not have enough money for my bills. I am afraid that there will not be enough money to take care of all my needs. O God, you know my fearful heart. I want some peace in my life. Grant me peace. AMEN

I hear the tremor in your voice
I feel your heart beating harder
I catch you looking into space
wondering about what is next
